Dear family, friends and supporters

A meeting and new committee was set up today to build a new school made up of six classrooms, new toilets and shower block. The meeting voted the existing chairman to stay as chairman, New vice chairman, secretary, vice secretary, treasurer, and media secretary.
The building committee has also been set up with six members, the school will be built by the village building directors team, with two construction workers having thirty years of working experience in the construction industry in India, plus the village labour.
The orphanage fund has allocated £10,000 for the building of the new school. 75% of the building materials have now been ordered and partly delivered, works started next day on  the foundations and have nearly been completed by volunteers from the village, The school playground will be the new building site.
All of the building materials have to be carried by hand the last two kilometres to the village as there is no road, just the mountain rock face mentioned in our last email.
There is currently two single story building being used as the school but these building have been severely damaged by the earthquake in 2015 and unsafe, these building will be pulled down and the land will be the new playground, all salvageable materials will be used for the new building,
Please feel free to pass on any of our email.

Regards, Bob and Jenny.
